The Lithuanian boys’ U-18 national team played their second friendly match against Malta’s same-age team on Sunday evening in Malta.
Mindaugas Čepas’s side secured victory on their second attempt, winning 1–0 (1–0). In the first meeting held on Friday, Lithuania had let slip a two-goal lead, and that match ended in a 2–2 draw.
In the second encounter, only one goal was scored — the decisive strike that gave Lithuania the win. Forward Nedas Garbaliauskas netted it from close range at the very end of the first half.
After the break, the Maltese side tried to equalize, but Lithuania defended well, kept a clean sheet, and closed the international window with a victory.
